This weekend, weather permitting, I have invitations to two baseball games; exhibition games between the WORLD CHAMPION PHILLIES and the Pat Burrell's Tampa Bay Rays. Tomorrow evening with my sister, Christine and Saturday afternoon with Dave. The forecast for tomorrow though is thunderstorms and lots of rain. So I'm wondering if that game will happen. Several years ago, the first for Citizens Bank park my sister and I went to the exhibition game vs. Cleveland. We went with Dad and Dinana although our seats were not together. As we left the house it was ....................... snowing. Somwhere I have a picture of us bundled up against the snow. You'd think we were at a football game. It was very cold, and a lot of fun.
The Saturday game is in the afternoon, 1:05. So it should be over around 4ish. The Villanova game is around 9 so fortunately no conflicts there. If there had been it would have been a no - brainer really. Cats over Phillies... at this point in both their seasons! :) It's going to be a fun sports filled weekend.
Hopefully I'll get in a run on Saturday morning before all this. I'm still planning on the Broad Street Run although I wonder how well I'll do. My winter training has not been consistent by any definition. It's more or less a down hill run though so how bad can it be? Right?
