In the Grand Scheme of Things

I'm away from home right now at our state association business meetings. I see some of the same people each time I come here and am often greeted with something like "So how have you been?" My answer often is "I can't complain". To which someone invariably says "Why, is that because no one is listening?". This is meant to bring a laugh and often it does. Today though I found myself saying no, really I have nothing to complain about.

In the grand scheme of things I can't complain. I have a job that I love, I have a home that hasn't been devastated by flood or tornadoes (come to think of it, in today's world just having a job and a home is a plus), I have family and friends. Life is good. And I'm not just saying it.
