Schedule your flight for the same day the President is coming to town.
I've flown Southwest several times and have found them to be fairly efficient getting people on the plane and the plane away from the gate. Today we may have set a record. The gate attendant hurried us along in boarding with "If we don't get out of here in 12 minutes, we're going to be stuck here for a very long time." The flight attendant likely needed oxygen after reciting the safety speech. And we were off, no delays. It did make me wonder what might have been forgotten in the haste to take off. But we arrived safe and .... well safe so I guess whatever was forgotten was not essential.
The little girl in front of us, 9 years old, was on her first flight. She was really enjoying it. She particularly enjoyed pushing the attendant call button and asking questions. Shane, to his credit, was very patient with her.
Kt and Jean picked us up and after commenting that it was NOT snowing and I DID NOT leave my camera on the plane we headed to Orlando Ale House for a late lunch/early dinner. I'd like to come back to this place during March Madness sometime. There was a TV in every nook and cranny of this place. KT said when they come there on Sundays during football season the hostess asks what game you'd like to watch before seating you.
We went back to their house to hang out for the evening. I waited until 6:15 to run hoping that it would be a bit cooler. It got down to about 85 but it wasn't very humid so not too bad. With the half marathon on Sunday I did not want to be here and not run at all. I had a strong 30 minute run and headed straight for the pool!
Tomorrow we will go to a baseball game. We are waiting for Dave to decide which game. This is his birthday baseball trip. The plan was Tampa-New York Yankees. However, KT pointed out that since we are not going to have to get up at the crack of dawn to see the shuttle launch on Thursday we could still consider the Marlins who happen to be playing the Phillies. It's Dave's decision, though, since it his birthday baseball game. He says he's leaning toward Tampa but will let us know tomorrow.
