Today, June 11, 2009, is the 'birthday' of the Empire Builder. This is the train that Dave and I will take for the Chicago to Seattle leg of our trip. This blog entry talks about the Empire Builder and its history. It's not that long. You should check it out!
Well the countdown clock is going to be off a bit. The change in our train itinerary means we leave Philadelphia at 12:35 instead of 12:42. However, it took me so long to figure out the settings on the countdown clock originally that I don't dare try to change it. Actually, I did try and realized I was going to mess it up. So we will actually be gone before it gets to zero....LOL...assuming the train leaves on time of course!
