Brad Lidge Bobbleheads and Sun

I can see clearly now the rain is gone.... ok I'm sure you are glad you can't hear me singing, but was a really nice day yesterday after three days of rain. I met with Phillyfit for a run and then Dave and I headed out for the day.

First stop, Citizen's Bank Park to for tickets for August 19th, Brad Lidge Bobblehead give away. The ticket agent informed us that the game was completely sold out. I asked if she thought people might give some tickets back since he blew the save the night before. She and the ticket agent next to her and another guy in line all got a chuckle out of that but still no tickets. So after a few minutes checking out the schedule we settled on August 20th. The 2oth is our Anniversary. We had planned to celebrate with the Brad Lidge game and dinner at McFadden's the day before. So now we will just celebrate ON the actual date. I doubt this will actually help me remember which day it is. After ten years you'd think I'd get it straight but I think I have myself convinced that I can't remember after stumbling the first few years. I have it down to two days though! LOL

Next, we headed over to the Nova bookstore to find a pin for my hat. It was reunion weekend so the store was open. Back when I went to school it actually WAS a bookstore and 3/4 of the store was books. Now 3/4 is sourvenirs and it's called the Villanova University Shop. Students get their books online more these days; it's cheaper. Anyway, I found what I wanted as well as a Nova Nation key chain.

I had entertained thoughts of calling Jimmy to see if he was working (at the zoo) today but then decided I wasn't really in a zoo kind of mood. And I love him but I'm not paying zoo admission to visit him! (There are all kinds of jokes that come to mind but I'll refrain). On they way from CBP to Nova the expressway was bottled up partly from construction and partly from the line of people waiting to get off at the zoo exit. So, our choice to skip that visit was a good one.

Next stop, Dad's. Dad and Dinana were babysitting the Gormley kids today so that Thomas and Jill could attend Jill's sister's wedding (Laurie). We had a nice visit at the Berwin playground and then Dave and I headed home. We watched some baseball before going to Famous Dave's for dinner. (The Phils lost the game and another blown save by Lidge. Poor guy was a hero last year and can't get a break this year).
