This post is a little late but i've been a little busy. On Thursday evening, the OC50 gang met up for a walk, dinner and ladies game night. We had a lovely time. The game we played was Clue. I do not remember ever playing such a long one. Typically we play more than one game when togehter. This one started before dinner and continued after dinner until after 10 pm!
Of course some of the lenght had to do with our silliness but still it was a long game. The game has been updated. I suppose the makers would say new and improved. And I guess the fact that it did last longer is new and improved. The pieces are different (although the names remain the same) and the rules are different. Halfway through we eveve realized we weren't playing with ALL the rules!
One new twist is the drawing of "Intrigue" cards. These give you extra chances to solve the puzzle. BUT in the pile are 8 clock cards. The first seven are harmless. When chosen they are laid out on the side of the board. The player who draws the 8th card is out and must show their hand to the rest of the group. Guess who got the 8th clock! :) BUT I not only drew the 8th clock I also drew the 7 that game before it. How's that for weird.
What's really frustrating is that I was ready to solve the puzzle but decided to go one more round to make sure I was right. That'll teach me.

Wow, for me even regular old Clue is slightly confusing--I can't IMAGINE playing your version! :)
It certainly was a challenge. And a lot of fun.
