Snow!

According to Accuweather inc. this winter will be one of the coldest and snowiest in recent memory. "I do think there are going to be a couple of big-ticket storms," said Joe Bastardi, the commercial service's long-range forecaster. Ahhhh music to my ears! For the rest of the story click here.

I love snow. I don't know if it is because I am a winter weather baby (December 15) or what but I love snow. Actually I love weather and snow is such a great showcase for weather. You can go to sleep one night and everything is dull and gray and wake up and poof! you have a white winter wonderland.

I use to be in business where we had to shovel snow. And I really didn't mind it. Once, almost 23 years ago when I was pregnant with my son we had a huge snowfall. January 22, 1987. We had over 20 inches of snow. I was not allowed to shovel then because I was extremely pregnant but I did go out with the crew to keep them company. Finally toward the end of the day I was so antsy they rigged up a wagon with a bag of salt and put me at the top of the hill and let me walk it down spreading salt along the way!

I don't mind driving in it either. That probably does come from being a winter weather baby, I learned to drive in snow. I do think there should be a test for driving in the snow though and if you can't pass the test you get a sticker on your license plate and if you go out in snow when you cant drive in snow you should be fined heavily for doing so.

Anyway, I'm looking forward to finding out if the forecasters are right! I hope so. However, it better not get in the way of getting to Florida for the sister cruise! 93 days and counting! :)
