Spelling Bee Champ in the family

Niece Amy won the regional spelling bee on Friday evening. Here is the link to the article about it. This is so awesome.

I just happened to read about it in her blog and I got so excited
I said, "Dave, Amy won the spelling bee... she's going to ..."
"Oh yeah.... your Dad called.. I forgot to tell you!"
MEN!!!!

In his defense I was at work today (yes it is Saturday) when Dad called and when I returned home, Dave was out umpiring a softball game (first college game of the season) and when he arrived back home I was painting and ..poor guy..I sent him back out to get more ceiling white because there was not enough for two coats. Then I sent him out again to get pizza for dinner. So I really didn't give him a chance to remember to tell me about Amy.

And life goes on......
